Lynda has painted and drawn from an early age and now is a professional artist living in Devon. She trained at Stourbridge Art School, and then continued to Birmingham College of Art, specializing in Theatre Design, leaving with a First Class Honours degree. She first became a Designer in the theatre and then moved to a career as a Production Designer for the B.B.C. She was the creative set designer for over 200 high profile television productions.

Lynda is an elected member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists R.B.S.A. During her time in Birmingham she became Vice President of the society. At Stoke Prior Craft Centre she also had a studio/ gallery and ran art courses in all paint mediums.

Since moving to Devon she became Chair of Sidmouth Society of Artists for 5 years and a member of both Exmouth and Topsham Art Groups. Lynda enjoys painting in different styles inspired by the natural environment. She paints in a variety of mediums such as pastel, watercolour, oil and acrylic.

Lynda has a studio/ gallery near to the sea in Sidmouth, called Loft Art Studio in Libra Court. She sells paintings internationally and exhibits her work at galleries and exhibitions. She is a highly experienced demonstrator in all mediums with an audience and teaches art in short courses or longer workshops at holiday destinations.

He retired from architectural practice and moved to Devon where he has set up a small studio to continue indulging his skills and passion for pottery. He makes a range of thrown ware including decorative and functional household items - mugs, bowls plates and dishes, mainly concentrating in high-fired stoneware. Not surprisingly, given his background he has more recently concentrated in making hand-built sculptural pieces with an architectural theme, reflecting a coastal flavour, featuring lighthouses, and ‘harbourside’ hostelries and buildings, incorporating driftwood and other ‘found’ objects.

Stephen also practises calligraphy and incorporates this skill in the decoration of imaginative and fantastical, pieces.

He has exhibited at local art exhibitions and his work is currently on sale in Libra Court, Sidmouth and at Art Space Art Gallery, Plymouth.

I have painted since I was a child always using strong colours to portray my subject matter. My Grandmother worked in oils and my Mother drew mainly horses, her choice of medium was charcoal and graphite, so I guess you could say painting is in my blood. I am inspired mainly by nature and animals and love to use a range of mediums to reflect this. I am mostly self-taught and over the years attended many workshops and classes to improve my knowledge and technique. At the ripe old age of 50 decided to embark on a foundation Creative Arts and Design degree with Oxford Brookes. I ran an Art Group in Lydiard Millicent Wiltshire for around 8 years and enjoyed passing on my enthusiasm and knowledge to encourage others to paint. I was on the committee for several years with the Purton Art Society and a member of the Wiltshire Guild of Artists.

I enjoy painting in pastels, watercolour, inks and mixed media, always ready to experiment, thinking outside the box to create something different. I have some experience in the mounting and framing process which I love to use to complete the character of the finished picture.

A big life changing move to Devon in 2017 has allowed me to spend more time indulging in my favourite pastime and, with the incredible landscape here including rivers, woods, heathland and of course the spectacular coast line and sea, the inspiration has enabled me to experiment more with new mediums, subject matters and surfaces. I have joined several art societies and am currently serving on the committee of the local Exmouth Art Group as the Programme Coordinator. We have lots of exhibitions, shows, demos and workshops by professional artists worldwide and competitions monthly so all in all I am a very happy bunny.

All of my original paintings are for sale and I have limited Giclee prints taken from the original paintings. I also have a range of greeting cards all printed from my original art work.

The nature of botanical art requires a detailed and realistic account of the plant for Botanists to name the species and distinguish minute differences in features. Susan has put her stamp on this form through using a slightly freer, less scientific approach, whilst maintaining the realism of traditional botanical art.

Since moving to Devon she has started painting birds, inspired by the bird reserves and lovely walks locally, so her work now includes an eclectic mix of botanical, birds and graphic imaging.

Susan has exhibited widely in the UK, the highlights being the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society (Silver Medal) in Edinburgh, and the Royal Academy of Arts ‘Summer Exhibition’, the Llewellyn Alexander NOT The Royal Academy and with the Society of Botanical Artists at Westminster Gallery in London.

She has also exhibited in the Majlis Gallery in Dubai where she also taught watercolour workshops.

Susan teaches small botanical watercolour workshops in Devon.

Catherine Osbond comes from an artistic background. Her mother was also a professional artist, and her Great Grandfather was a sculptor. Catherine first studied Architecture at University College, London and then went on to study Fine Art and Printing at Middlesex University. She has also studied at the Gage Academy in Seattle and The Slade School of Art in London.

For over twenty years Catherine taught Art and Design at various schools and colleges of Further and Adult Education. She is the founder and director of East Devon Art Academy which runs regular art classes and one-off workshops lead by many renowned artists. In addition EDAA hosts exhibitions of works from artists in the South West and beyond.

Catherine has exhibited in London and the South West. She is represented throughout the South West by Triton and Surridge Galleries. Her work is in private collections across Europe, America and Canada.

In addition Catherine has illustrated books and has had greetings cards published.
