Kennaway House
Built in 1805, the year of Trafalgar, Kennaway House is a handsome Regency mansion standing in its own grounds at the heart of Sidmouth. After a £1 million restoration carried out in 2008-2009, Kennaway House and its gardens offer an historic and beautiful setting for many purposes.
The main Regency floor provides impressive gallery space for art and other exhibitions.

Enter into a world of art and Georgian classic decor. The house is named after Sir John Edward Kennaway who is elected the MP for East Deveon in 1870.

Kennaway House Gallery
Kennaway House has three gallery rooms, the larger of which is the Hatton Gallery. The Hatton Gallery is a large, light and airy room with a high ceiling and a beautiful chandelier. The gallery is ideal for exhibitions, workshops, meetings, and events. The gallery is available for hire and is a popular venue for art exhibitions, craft fairs, and other events. The second gallery is the Amyatt Room that provides an opportunity to feature an artist with a substantial collection.
Artists are also provided with tables for the display of art cards and printed reproductions. It was the first selection of venue by Artist Collective as it proven so popular for both the founders in previous years.
Situated in the beautiful beach city of Sidmouth, Kennaway House provides a cultural heart for the visiting tourist. There are many 3 and 4 star hotels along the length of the Espanade. Pedestrian only Old Fore Street converges with Fore Street. An excellent and interesting shopping experience.
